Improving the design of the characters

Our biggest issue was our character design. At first the team drew about 50 sketches each of the Bread character:

I then tried to model the character in Maya. This is the progression of their ‘becoming’.

Jennie McWhirter had an idea that the bread could have uneven bumps on the top of their heads to give the character a more stylized feel to it.

This Toaster was our first attempt.
